Lift your writing to publishable through the power of your own storytelling strengths. The power of great storytelling is in you.

This workshop helps you define your own strengths then use those strengths to the greatest benefit.

How do you create a unique, compelling story? By building on the bedrock of your own strengths. Laura Baker, award-winning author and teacher of the acclaimed class series Discovering Story Magic, will help you tap into your own resources for enhanced storytelling skills, building characters and
increasing your novel's emotional resonance and dramatic purpose.

This month-long class is packed with exercises and feedback to help students progressively hone in on their own dramatic powers. Then we put those powers to work on your own story ideas using Laura's solid fiction foundation of a story box. The workshop explores motivations, structure, profound events and premise. Transform a basic story concept into a complex, fully-formed novel, empowered and impassioned from your own strengths.

WEEK ONE: Explore and define your unique storytelling strengths.

WEEK TWO: Through writing craft, build on your strengths by focusing on three significant underpinnings of great storytelling: your own unique
style, emotional resonance, and clear story purpose.

WEEKS THREE AND FOUR: Bring all the pieces together into a STORY VISION. You will build your own STORY BOX, starting from just an idea, to building characters, working with archetypes, premise and theme, to see your story vision come to life.

Throughout the month, receive guidance and feedback.

Bonus: During Week Two: For those with a completed manuscript, in a special exercise called LIST OF FIVE (explained in the class), receive individual feedback on the theme of your manuscript.

With an emphasis on discovering each writer's individual strengths, this workshop is appropriate for those at the beginning of writing as well as
those seeking to create a hallmark for their work. Define your vision and get going!
